What It Takes

TBADC Summer 23 Intensive 

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our 2023 Summer Intensive! The Collective will be welcoming 24 talented young black artists to train with us this summer on July 17th - 29th, 2023. If you are between the ages 13-18 and you live in the metro-Atlanta area, we encourage you to apply! In order to reduce barriers and increase access to dance, TBADC offer their intensives completely TUITION-FREE. This year we are offering classes in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, musical theater, hip-hop, acting for dancers, vocal coaching and wellness. We also will be hosting special master classes, creation processes, career counseling, and college prep! This is an opportunity for you to train and network with some of the best international performers and educators in dance.

We Are The Collective! And we look forward to dancing with you this summer!

Criteria:

• Age 13-18
• Intermediate/Advance dancer (4-5 years of dance) 
• Must live in the metro Atlanta area 
• Must be able to commit to both weeks of the intensive
• Exemplifies Professionalism
• Serious interest in dance and/or career in dance.
• Complete all audition materials
• Application deadline March 1st, 2023 

Audition Material:

• Submit a solo in any style that exemplifies your best dancing. (provide a link i.e. YouTube, Vimeo) if your video requires a password please provide that in your application. 
• Submit a headshot 
• Submit 1 letter of recommendation from a dance professional or educator. 
• Submit an Artistic Statement describing your goals in dance and how this intensive could support you in accomplishing them. 

Become An Ambassador

TBADC Fall 22 Intensive Ambassador Criteria

Ambssador

​In conjunction with our 22’ Fall Intensive, we are implementing our first Ambassador Program for artists who are on the path toward having a professional career in dance.

By becoming a part of our Ambassador program, you will have the opportunity to network with top artists and creatives in the dance industry by serving as dance assistants in each of our intensive classes.

You will also serve as a role model to our young artists attending the intensive.  As an Ambassador, you will work side by side with our creative team to bring forth the vision for our 2022-2023 promo shoot as well as you will have the opportunity to assist us in our first major networking event. All ambassadors will receive a stipend at the end of the intensive.

The online application is now OPEN and the deadline to submit is August 12th, 2022.

​​Ambassador Criteria 

  • Must attend University or Dance Training program in the metro Atlanta area

  • Exemplifies professionalism and great leadership qualities

  • Headshot/resume

  • 2 min dance reel

  • 1 Letter stating why you are interested in becoming a TBADC Ambassador

  • 1 Letter of recommendation from an Arts Professional (Please send them the Recommender's Application for upload)

  • Must be able to commit to full 3 days of the intensive

  • Must be available for our September 18th promo shoot

  • Must be fully vaccinated

​Nominee Criteria & Materials

  • Advance level students w/ at least 4-5 years of dance

  • Ages 13-18

  • Must live in the metro Atlanta area

  • Willing to handle intensive program

  • Exemplifies professionalism

  • Potential to have a career in dance

  • Openness to versatile training

  • Must be fully vaccinated 

  • Must be able to commit to full 3 days of the intensive

  • 1 Letter of Recommendation stating why this student should be nominated

  • Headshot 

  • video solo max 2 min in any style of dance
